Where’s Jess?
I don’t have a dedicated AIS unit on the boat, instead I use a mobile phone app called “On Course” which needs a mobile phone signal and for the most part this is fine in Scottish Coastal Waters even half way across the North Channel where you can get a signal from at least one of the providers.
